Mole removal plus histology if required
Moles can appear on your face or body. They come in various shapes and sizes. You may have a mole that is bothering you and we can remove it. We can also send your excised mole to the labs to check its histology for peace of mind.
We can remove your mole by simply cutting it out whilst you are under local anaesthetic or it can be removed by laser treatment.
The cosmetic removal of moles and other skin lesions is not available on the NHS.
Lumps and bumps
There are a many different lumps and bumps that can occur on your skin including moles, cysts, small white lumps (milia), red bumps (haemangiomas: collection of blood vessels), enlarged oil glands (sebaceous lesions), and fibrous papules. Lumps and bumps on your face and some highly visual parts of your body can be unsightly and cause upset.
We can remove your lump or bump. We offer a thorough assessment of your skin lesion and our consultants will consider the excision of your lump or bump based on its location, size, or if the lump possesses other attributes that would suggest a malignancy. To be sure of the cause of your lump, once it’s removed it can be assessed under a microscope.
Your lump or bump will be cut out using an incision that will leave the best possible scar. It’s performed under local or general anaesthetic.
Two stitch face lift
A two-stitch facelift is a minor thread lift procedure used to freshen your lower face, jowel and neck. It’s a relatively new, minimally invasive approach with a fast recovery and lasts for up to five years. It’s carried out under local anaesthetic and is an affordable option.
It is aimed at patients whose jawline is a little loose and needs tightening but they don’t want, or do not need, a mini-face lift.
Two stitch facelift takes approximately one and a half hours to perform. It involves stitching the problem areas of excess skin and using small cones to anchor tissue into its new position as soft tissue and skin is pulled back to create a more youthful look.
We offer facial injectables to treat fine lines and wrinkles on your face including frown lines, forehead furrows and crow’s feet.
These muscle relaxing injections temporarily block the nerve transmissions to your facial muscles and prevent your skin creasing leading to less facial lines. Your initial treatment will last for three to six months and further treatments may benefit from a cumulative effect and last longer.
If you have deep facial lines your cosmetic surgeon may recommend dermal fillers to restore volume and fill the deep folds. They can also redefine your lip shape.
Dermal fillers replace collagen that is lost due to the ageing process and skin damage. We offer premium dermal fillers for all of our patients and your cosmetic consultant will recommend the most suitable filler for your skin.
Using very fine needles small amounts of dermal filler is injected into your skin. The procedure takes around twenty minutes. Your results will last between six to twelve months.
Chemical peels are a popular professional non-invasive cosmetic treatment used to rejuvenate the appearance of your skin on your face, neck, back, chest and hands.
People choose chemical peels if they have a dull complexion, uneven skin tone, skin ageing, pigmentation marks and blemishes. Chemical peels offer a fast and effective way to achieve radiant skin and to dramatically lessen the effects of skin conditions.
Chemical peels work by using a chemical reaction that causes the outer layers of damaged skin to peel away. Increased cell growth then produces a newer and healthier layer of skin that is more youthful in appearance. There are many chemical peels and your cosmetic surgeon or nurse will advise on the correct peel for your skin.
We will also analyse your skin and offer advice on the best skincare for your personal needs.
